Dr. Aaron C. Deshaw
Dr. Aaron DeShaw, Esq. is a trial lawyer based in Portland, Oregon. He has individually, and in cooperation with other law firms, obtained settlements and verdicts for his clients in excess of $400 million. He is the leading expert in the U.S. on the subject of Colossus, the computer assessment program used by most auto insurance companies for evaluating personal injury claims. DeShaw holds a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College and a Juris Doctorate from Willamette University College of Law. DeShaw is author of several books and videos on traumatic injuries and insurance. He is a resource for national media such as CNN, MSNBC, BusinessWeek, Money, A.M. Best, and others on the topic of insurance. He has lectured for both physician and legal professionals including at AAJ, ATLA, the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, and the Brain Injury Association of Oregon, as well as private seminars before the nation’s top insurance bad faith lawyers. He has lectured at events alongside Brian O’Neill (President of the Insurance Institute on Highway Safety, and creator of the US crash testing program for vehicles), Eugene Anderson (called “The Dean of Policyholder’s attorneys” by BusinessWeek), Arthur Croft (author of Whiplash Injuries: The Cervical Acceleration / Decelerations Syndrome), Rick Friedman, David Ball (the nation's leading jury consultant), Mark Lanier, and many other internationally recognized experts in the area of insurance, law, motor vehicle collision mechanics, and medicine. He primarily handles cases involving brain injuries and other catastrophic injuries.
